Eyelash extensions typically look their best for 3–4 weeks. They don't fall out all at once: each extension sheds with the natural lash it's attached to, so your set thins gradually. A refill every 2–3 weeks keeps it full.

At Atelier de Lashes in Nyarugenge, Kigali, refills cost 5,000 RWF (Classic & Hybrid) or 10,000 RWF (Volume & Mega Volume).

Why do eyelash extensions fall out?

Every natural lash has its own growth cycle. When it reaches the end, it sheds and takes the extension with it. This is normal and doesn't mean the glue failed. What matters is how quickly and evenly you lose them.

7 things that make lash extensions fall out faster

●Touching, picking, or rubbing your lashes

●Skipping cleansing, so makeup, oil, and sweat build up

●Oil-based makeup removers, cleansers, and skincare

●Sleeping face-down on your lashes

●Rubbing your eyes because of allergies, tiredness or habit

●Waiting too long between refills

●Incorrect application

Can I shower, sleep, or swim with lash extensions?

Yes. Once fully cured, about 24–48 hours after application, extensions are water-resistant. Just avoid oil-based products. Sleep normally, but try not to press your face into the pillow. If you swim often, tell your technician because chlorine and salt can affect how long your set lasts.

How long do Classic, Hybrid, Volume, and Mega Volume lashes last?

All four styles shed with your natural lashes, so each set looks its best for about 3–4 weeks. The difference is the look and the price:

●Classic, 25,000 RWF: natural, one extension per lash. [See and book Classic ]

●Hybrid, 30,000 RWF: a mix of single extensions and fans. [See and book Hybrid ]

●Volume, 35,000 RWF: fuller, with lightweight fans. [See and book Volume ]

●Mega Volume, 40,000 RWF: maximum density. [See and book Mega Volume ]

When should I get a refill instead of a new set?

A refill maintains a set you already have. Book one every 2–3 weeks, while it still has plenty of extensions.

If too many have fallen out, you may need a new full set. A refill takes about 45–75 minutes.

What if my extensions fall out too quickly?

Ask yourself: Have you been rubbing your eyes? Changed your skincare or makeup? Have you been cleaning your lashes properly? Are the extensions coming off with the natural lash, or on their own, without it? If something seems wrong, call us at +250724294580 and describe what's happening.

How do I make my extensions last longer?

●Clean your lashes regularly and brush them gently

●Avoid oil around the lash line

●Don't pick or pull them

●Keep your refill appointments

●Don't remove them yourself: book professional removal (5,000 RWF). Avoid olive oil and hot water, which can damage your natural lashes.
