How to Prepare for Your Lash Extension Appointment
A little preparation helps your lash extensions go on comfortably and last well. Here is what we suggest before you visit Atelier de Lashes in Kigali.
Before you book
- Choose a style. Compare classic, hybrid, volume and mega volume on our services page.
- Tell us about sensitivities. If you have allergies or sensitive eyes, let us know before your appointment so that we can do a patch test or use a hypoallergenic adhesive.
- Plan your time. A full set typically takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and a refill 45 to 75 minutes.
- Wearing extensions from another studio? Book our removal service instead of removing them yourself.
On the day
- Arrive with clean lashes and a clean face, with no mascara or eye makeup.
- Avoid oil-based skincare, cleansers and makeup removers around your eyes, because oil weakens lash adhesive.
- Do not curl your natural lashes beforehand.
- Eat beforehand and use the bathroom, because you will be lying down with your eyes closed for a while.
- Bring photos of any look you like, so that we can match your idea.
- Arrive on time so that your full appointment is available.
During your appointment
Your eyes stay closed for the whole session. Most clients relax, listen to music or even nap. If anything feels uncomfortable, tell us straight away.
After you leave
Keep your extensions dry for the first 24 to 48 hours while the adhesive cures, then follow our aftercare guide.
