This policy explains what personal information Atelier de Lashes collects through this website and in the studio, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Atelier de Lashes is a lash studio at Chic Building (Mall), KN 2 Ave, Nyarugenge, Kigali, Rwanda. You can reach us at atelierdelashes001@gmail.com or on +250 724 294 580.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. The booking, training and referral forms on this site do not send data to our servers. They open WhatsApp with a pre-filled message, and nothing is shared until you press send. That message can include your name, phone or WhatsApp number or email, the service you are interested in, a referral code, your experience level, your social handle and any note you write.
- Booking details. If you book through take.app, the details you enter are handled by take.app under its own privacy policy, and we receive the booking.
- Client records. To deliver your service we keep your name, phone number, services, appointment dates and visit history, so we can schedule refills and send reminders. If you tell us about allergies or eye sensitivities, we note this for your safety.
- Referral program. Your name, contact details, social handle, referral code and the bookings credited to it.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability.
How we use it
We use your information to answer your messages, confirm and deliver appointments, remind you when a refill is due, run the referral program, keep the site secure and meet our legal duties. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to run the site and the studio: WhatsApp (messaging), take.app (online booking), Netlify (website hosting) and Supabase (database hosting for our blog and studio systems) and Algolia (site search, which receives the words you type on our search page). They process data only to provide their service. Some of these providers operate outside Rwanda, so your information may be processed in other countries. Links to Google Maps, Waze and our social media pages take you to those services, which have their own policies.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores two small items on your device: your light or dark mode choice and your cookie choice. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so visiting the site does not send your data to Google Fonts. You can change your cookie choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.
How long we keep it
We keep client and referral records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your rights
Under Rwanda's data protection law (Law No. 058/2021) you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email or message us and we will respond. You may also complain to Rwanda's data protection supervisory authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their information through it.
